Marketing... that should be the name of today, not Wednesday, but marketing. Somehow I think you might have guessed what we've been doing today. Ha Ha! We are all busily getting ready for the upcoming bridal show, making new literature, meeting with vendors, designing the booth, you name it. But getting caught up in the bustle of the wedding industry is half the fun of photography!
Everyone has their niche when it comes to photography so weddings may not exactly be your forte. Although with every aspect of photography that I've tried so far, I've not only enjoyed each one, but found them to be an invigorating challenge! So far I've done children as in, infants, multiple children (7 to be exact), and mother babies. Senior portraits, with the fun, edgy, fashion side. Pets.... in one single shoot I have done 4 chihuahuas and an australian shepherd! Commercial... ya know head shots and the like. Engagement... I have only done 1 by myself so far but I loved it! Landscape... that was just an on my own time kind of thing. And of course the big one.... WEDDINGS.... which happen to be my favorite! Did I mention that I'm only 18! Of course I kind of had a jump start on most budding photographers since I got my first camera when I was 3. Ok so it wasn't exactly my beloved Olympus E3 which I now use, but it was a start! But if you think I might have done a good bit for someone my age, my sister (who happens to do practically everything that I do) is only 16, and she's been with me every step of the way!
Back to marketing to close... I am working with mom on our marketing now (she is like the SUPER marketing person). So we also have a great mentor for that as well! Well I know that I shall be dreaming of graphic designs and those dreaded watermarks tonight (I shall spare you the details on that one for tonight).
